Chshiyev V.T. New data on the funeral rites of the ancient population of the Caucasus (based on the materials of the monuments of Koban culture of the Late Bronze Age.)
Abstract. The article examines the bronze rod-shaped pins with a top in the form of ram's horns, used by the ancient Caucasian population, who left monuments of the Proto-Kobe era as a decoration for a woman's hairstyle. According to the author, a number of copies of such pins bear traces of intentional deformation, which are signs of a ritual of "killing" objects of funeral equipment

HISTORY

Tuallagov A.A. To the history of Nykhas (III)
Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of the exclusive form of relations between women and the Ossetian nykhas. The analysis suggests that nykhas was available to women in a special case associated with military tradition. The persistence of the tradition itself could be determined by a powerful historical impulse that had its origins in the «Sarmatian-Alan world». This position also correlates with the decision that the ancient nykhas, including the Alanian ones, initially served as sanctuaries of a female deity, only over time transforming into exclusively male sanctuaries

Lokhova I.V., Koybaev B.G. On the Issue of Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Iran and Russia in the Context of Relations in the South Caucasus
Abstract. In the article, the authors consider aspects related to the development and expansion of scientific and academic mobility in the South Caucasus region, focusing on the fact that issues of science and education are not classified as a separate area of cooperation between the states of the region. The examples of scientific and educational cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation are given, the events that allowed Iran to become one of the leading powers in the field of high technology not only in the South Caucasus, but also in the world, which allows it to ensure technological sovereignty and security, are considered and analyzed.

Dementiev D. A. The «outrageous» letters of Tsarevich Alexander Bagrationi as an element of Persian propaganda in the War of 1804–1813
Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of propaganda materials prepared by the Georgian Tsarevich Alexander Bagrationi and used in the interests of Iran to destabilize the situation in the Georgian province of Russia during the Russian-Persian War of 1804-1813. The author paid special attention to the assessment of the effectiveness of psychological impact measures taken by Tsarevich Alexander in relation to various social (nobles, clergy, peasants, townspeople), national, ethnic (Ossetians, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Kabardins, Kakhetians, Kartalis, Khevsurs, Pshavs) and religious (Christians, Shiite Muslims and Sunni Muslims) groups.

Kagazezhev Z.V. Petroglyphs of Hagondocks: analogies and their distribution
Abstract. The article examines the materials of the Hagondokovo petroglyphs found by the author in April 2023 and analyzes similar images found in the North Caucasus. The Hagondkovo petroglyphs, unique in their richness of images, represent various geometric shapes, signs carved and applied in dark red ochre on the rocks. From the last quarter of the XIX century to the present day, kavkazologists have accumulated significant research material on the study of petroglyphs of the North Caucasus. In the process of analyzing the sources, it is concluded for the first time that there is a monotonous culture of applying petroglyphs on rocks, stones and megaliths of the North Caucasus. A particularly high density of their location is found in the Western and Central Caucasus. The presence of such petroglyphs in the Crimea and further in the Northwestern Black Sea region, allows us to conclude that there is a significant spread of such Hagondokovo petroglyphs in the Mediterranean basin.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Gazeev V.M., Gurbanov A.G., Groznova E.O., Leksin A.B., Gurbanova O.A. Geyserites of the Elbrus volcanic center
Abstract. Relevance of research. The discovery by us within the volcanic structure of Elbrus, in the bedrock and in the vysypok(rocks fragments of a bedrocks) of geyserites, is of undoubted practical interest in connection with the existence of an independent type of volcanogenic geyserite-opalite deposits confined to the volcanic belts of California, Nevada, Italy, Japan, Chile,Kuriles (volcano Kudryavy, etc.) and Kamchatka. Purpose of research. The study of the physic-chemical parameters of the formation of geyserites with an assessment of their geochemical features and extent of distribution, which is necessary to assess their practical significance. The objects for research were veinlets and trains of geyserites developed both within the Kyukyurtlinskaya and Irikskaya ore-magmatic systems, and in places of intense manifestation of hydrothermal-metasomatic processes superimposed on lava flows of different ages within the Elbrus volcanic center. Results and discussion. Geyserites are composed of veinlets and trails of different age and composition, among which there are essentially magnesian, aluminous-siliceous and siliceous varieties. The contents (in g/t) of the following elements have been established in geyserites: Sc (0.1-5.2);Zn (6.0-17.0);As (0.9-7.4);Mo (1.2-9.4);Ag (0.3-2.9);Sb (0.1-0.8);Cs (0.7-9.8);Ba (30.0-98.0);Ce (3.6-19.1);Cu (1.0-17.0);Pb (traces-10.0);sometimes Au (up to 1.2) and W (1.0-2.8). Hydrothermal solutions that participated in the metasomatic alteration of the rocks of the Kyukyurtlinskaya ore-magmatic system (KOMS) and formed both secondary quartzites and thermal solutions that formed geyserites had a fluoride composition. This is evidenced by the fluorine-containing minerals first discovered by us in these metasomatites - jarchichite, ralstonite, α-ralstonite, fluorite. Fluid inclusions in geyserite quartz have homogenization temperatures in the range of 120-152°C at solution concentrations up to 5-14.2 wt. % equiv. NaCl. All this may be evidence of the possible presence of ore mineralization (Cu-Mo, Au-Ag-As, Pb-Zn) associated with extrusive bodies of acid composition (dacites) within the KOMS under the argillisite zone.Conclusion.Given the low thickness (0.5-5.0 cm) of geyserite veinlets, relatively low content of ore elements, as well as their rare occurrence and their limited volumes, we believe that within the EVC this geyserite-opalite type of ore mineralization has no industrial significance.

Gazeev V.M., Gurbanov A.G. Collectible and jewelry-ornamental fauna in the sedimentary stata of the central Caucasus of different ages
Abstract. Based on the study scientific publications, Internet sites and own field studies, collectible representatives of the fossil fauna present in sections of sedimentary rocks of Paleozoic, Jurassic and Cretaceous age of the North Caucasus have been identified. A brief description of their most typical representatives is given. Areas of distribution of fauna with good preservation and decorative characteristics have been identified. Collectible minerals and ornamental stones found in the same sedimentary strata are noted.
