Abstract. In studying the history of Alans in the West kind of vacuum was formed after the fundamental works of prof. M. I. Rostovtsev and prof. G. V Vernadsky. This gap was compensated by the American scientist B. Bakhrakh. The full picture of the role of Alan tribes in «Great migration of peoples» is presented in the book «History of Alans in the West» published in 1973, and there is also the heritage left by them in military, public and cultural life of Western Europe of the 4-6th centuries. Bakhrakh carefully studied the routes of groups of Alans to the west after the collision with Huns (370 A.C.) in the North Caucasus, their relationships with the Roman Empire, investigates history of groups of Alans, located in the territory of France, Italy, Byzantium, North Africa, the stories connected with the greatest representatives of Alans (Goar, Sangiban, Aspar, Ardabur. Saint Goar, etc.) left a noticeable trace in early medieval history of Europe. The special trace Sarmats and Alans left in the history of Gallia. According to the French scientist Lebedinsky «Directly or indirectly they have had cultural impact on the country which had to become France subsequently. They are among (even if in a small proportion) ancestors of French».

Сhochiev G.V.  The  reflection  of  the  history  of  Iranian  nomads  of  the Euroasian  steppes  in  Turkish  historiography

Abstract. The article critically evaluates approaches and trends in the coverage of the problems of the Iranian nomadic societies of the Eurasian steppes prevalent in Turkish historiography. Two major trends in the area are identified: the “turanist” and one that tends to the generally accepted concepts of the world science.

Chshiyev V. [H.]T.  The  image of  the  snow  leopard  on  the  bronze  axe of  koban  archaeological  culture  from  Elhotovo  village,  RNO-A

Abstract.In the article in comparative historical terms is considering zoomorphic graphics on the axe of Koban archaeological culture, and close to it iconographic images in the Alanian culture. According to the author, analysis of considering images indicates stability of «crouching» leopard imagery, both in the milieu of ancient and medieval populace on the territory of Ossetia-Alania today.

Abstract. The article reveals the activities of state and party bodies on the socialization of the Chechens and Ingush in the field of education and culture places of their new residence. The Soviet government successfully socialized Chechens and Ingush in the places of their new residence, but it was carried out a deliberate policy of destruction of the ethnic and cultural foundations of life of the Chechens and Ingush. The authors showed the difficulties and successes in implementation of this project.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. In 2014–2015 under the plans of research works of VSC of RAS& RNO-Alania Government and the project of the RFBR on studying of modern geodynamics and a deep structure of the Vladikavkaz Fault Zone the satellite geodetic network for repeated periodic observation by the GNSS mobile equipment has been created. This network consists of 23 survey-mode stations. In 2014–2016 the GPS – observations have been performed and velocities of survey-mode stations relative to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF2008) have been estimated. Results of this research are presented in the paper.

Abstract. The complexity of the decontamination of buried wastes of TTMMCdue to the specifics of their geochemical composition – low-sulphide, high carbonate content? Related to this is a considerable complication of the offeredtechnology of their processing, whichincludes sulfuric acid leaching of waster and separate sorption extraction of a complex of ecologically dangerous and useful elements from the working solution.

Abstract. In outburst of the Tamansky peninsula mud volcanoes the fragments of magmatic rocks of the Early Mesozoic age, supposedly, have been discovered. Its investigation has a great importance for refinements of geological evolution history of the West Caucasus and for determination of geodynamic processes which were shown here at that time. The results of RFA, INNA and ICP-MS analysis are listed for following magmatic rocks: granite-porphyry, felsites-porphyry, diabase. The concise petrographic description of the rocks and its geochemical peculiarities was done. The supposition about a new, unknown early, volcanic area, which are placed in 150-200 km to the west from Tuapsinsky transversal structure and Goitchsky volcanic area. Volcanism, which have been shown here, evolved at under-subduction conditions on young, thin Epi-Paleozoic Scythian plate.

Abstract. Productivity of potatoes depends on many factors: the weather and soil conditions, availability of nutrients, seed quality, and growing technology. The most important success factor is the right choice of varieties. Provided by article describes new potato varieties, created by SKNIIGPSH. The description helps to distinguish varieties grade from class contains information about the basic economic-useful, morphological characteristics, resistance to diseases, most common in the South of Russia.

Muzaev I.D.,  Muzaev  N.D.  А  hydrodynamic  calculation  method  of  the  selective  intake  process

Abstract. Developed a hydrodynamic method of calculation of the selective intake process, when water from the upper layer of two-layer stratified reservoir source water industry. Unlike the older empirical formulas designed for the hydraulic calculation and design of selective water intake, in the article the review process modeled boundary contact problem of hydrodynamics of surface and internal gravity waves in an ideal incompressible fluid. In the aforementioned empirical formulas do not contain parts of the input system parameters stratified body of water – selective water intake device, significantly affecting the selective intake process. Based on performed numerical experiments the article proves the statement that in connection with the mentioned disadvantage of the design of devices based on empirical formulas can not guarantee selective extraction from the upper layer stratified reservoir.
In the article the calculation formulas together contain all the input parameters of the system. They allow the automation of computational experiments on the computer for the selection of the dimensions of the diversion device, mark its depth locations, and flow and velocity of water withdrawn, ensuring a selective extraction from the upper layer of two-layer stratified reservoir.
