Perevalov S.M. Discussion of the «sarmatian» horse-riding posture in a visual format.

The author comments session of the seminar «Human combating» (St. Petersburg) on the problem of Sarmatian combat mode of seat, in which the rider holds a lance in both hands. The author makes some comments regarding the methodology, treatment of sources, evaluation of re-enactment of the ancient cavalry fight without saddles or stirrups. According to the author, “Sarmatian” horse-riding posture is certainly existed not only among themselves Sarmatians, but also among the neighboring nations

QUESTIONS ON POLITOLOGY

Dzidzoev V.D. To the question of of the national idea (concept) of the Ossetian people (historical and political-legal aspects) determining.

The article considers the problem of determining the national idea of the Ossetian people, who found themselves separated by the will of the authorities since 1920. Ossetians, in which a total of just over 600,000 people, from 1920 till now live in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and independent Republic of South Ossetia. The divided Ossetian people plays a negative role in the life of the nation, its prospects for the future. Today there is no clearly defined national idea (concept) of the Ossetian people, which in all respects is highly relevant and topical problem. It is proved that in the result of complex military, ethnopolitical and demographic processes in the national structure of the population of Ossetia started to change dramatically. Provides interesting facts, which first introduced into scientific circulation.

Chibirov А.L. KUVD Mysteries.

This article announces the new interpretation of the significance of ossetian ritual ceremony of Kuvd. With reference to the famous Ossetian scientists V.I. Abaev, V.S. Uarziati there is the analysis of the sacred significance of the ceremony of Kuvd, examination of feasible parallels in other religions, in Zoroastrism particularly. Current ossetian ritual feast Kuvd on its surface is the reflection of an ancient mystic action. Kuvd - a prayer, a component of Kuvd, that is a ritual feast with sacrifice as a rule. It is the shaman ritual modified by the time, initial, archaic essence of which is retained in the name itself – “kuvd-prayer”, and which purposed to get into “alter state of consciousness” for obtaining the “mystic experience”
